Black Lives Matter

black lives matter

Black Lives Matter is a movement that highlights how to protect the rights of the black community in the U.S., UK, Canada, and Australia. This movement took shape in 2013 when police killed Trayvon Martin and when a severe encounter took place to resolve the case of the death of African Americans.

Why This Campaign Initiated?

The primary purpose of this campaign is to eliminate the white power. And protect the black neighborhoods by providing them power against the savagery imposed. This movement got progressive support on social media. It covers several chapters on minorities and political independence.

Thousands of people support this movement who want peace and fight against racism to protect the rights of others and want to save the lives of minorities. Black Lives Matter highlights the issue in favor of thousands of people killed by police against racism differences.

Various laws have arisen because of this movement. However, several people disagree with the efforts of black lives matter. The agenda of this strategy is to fight against the national criminal justice system.

Social Media Cause

Facebook and other social media platforms are responsible for the success of this motive, which raised the different cases of death under the racism act.

This strategy increased his profile when the street protest and other campaigns followed it.

  • Trayvon Martin, who was a seventeen-year-old African American, was killed by police on 26th February 2012.
  • Micheal Brown, who was a black communist, was shot by a white proudly police officer, Darren Wilson, in Ferguson City.
  • Alton Sterling was also a black person, 37 years old, who two Baton Rouge Police Department officers shot on 5th July 2016.
  • Botham Jean was killed on 6th September 2018, and he was 36 years old.
  • Atatiana Jefferson, a woman whose age is 28 years old, was shot by a police officer in Fort Worth, Texas, on 12th October 2019.
  • Ahmad Arbery was a 25-year-old African American who was murdered on 23rd February 2020 in Glynn County, Georgia.
  • George Floyd was also a black person who was recently killed by police; police removed such people to maintain white power in the US.

Who was George Floyd?

George Floyd is a 46-year-old black gentleman born in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Most of his time was spent in Houston, Texas. He was six feet seven inches tall and a football and basketball player. He had two daughters and one son.

Thirteen years ago, Floyd conducted a burglary by using dangerous weapons, according to the Harris County reports, and he bears five years of a sentence for this robbery. After that, he went to his hometown, Minneapolis, where he took a new start to his life and became a truck driver to earn an honest livelihood.

The white police of America are playing racist discrimination against the black community. George Floyd was killed by American police on 25th May 2020 in Minneapolis. He was being arrested on suspicion of using a bogus bill. American police officer knelt for almost nine minutes when he was saying I can’t breathe.

Shooting by US Police

The selfish police officer continued this act until he died. With hands undercuffed, he was lying on the road. George did not want to die because he was saying I can’t breathe. In the last three minutes of his life, he couldn’t move, and his pulse also stopped. Before his death, he pleaded for his life.

Four officers were presenting this hardcore incident and were not bearing the interruption of eyewitnesses. All sightseers also requested these officers to let him go.

Chauvin did not put his knees aside when the medical techniques were trying to save his life. George’s death video was circulating on safety cameras and by the eyewitnesses. It was not a suicide case. After this incident, these four harsh officers faced dismissal and felonious criminal offenses.

Chauvin got second-degree charges for conducting the third-degree murder. Additional officers faced second-degree murder by proving the aid to the killer. The FBI and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are reviewing this conflict. After the death of George Floyd, a considerable violation arose from the public. This activates all NGOs and movements that are responsible for protecting the rights of minorities.

The Racist Behavior of the Police

The objection from the people spread all over the country. All the violated people were displaying fury against the racist behavior of the police and appealing to the police to stop his savageness. The clash between the police and the public involved Minneapolis, Atlanta, and Louisville.

Fire destroyed various buildings and vehicles. Several looted cases occurred. Curfew must be enforced in dozens of cities; people must use different ways to reach their homes. The police used tear gas, hand grenades, and rubber bullets to defeat the violence.

Almost 17,000 soldiers deployed to these violated cities to maintain civilian disturbance. There is race and racism discrimination prevalent in the American police. Prejudice against other communities has become a systematic feature of Americans.

In Brisbane, 10,000 people joined by presenting the black lives matter movement. This is a friendly rally showing humanity through their placards.

BOTTOMLINE

Various laws exist in America to protect the rights of whites, but in vain. But there should be equal rights for minorities. When minorities conduct the crime, the American police show zero tolerance for them. Media outlets also played a negative role in race discrimination against minorities. This negative behavior of whites toward black people and minorities is prevailing civil unrest in the U.S.A.
