Obesity is state of the body when a person gets the accumulation of extra body fat. This issue is prevalent at a global level.

It is estimated that in UK, obesity effects one in every four adults. The health related to the weight expresses in terms of Body Mass Index (BMI).

What is Obesity?

It is a measure of weight for health and helps to classify obesity and overweight in adults. It is:

Being obese or overweight is one of the most pervasive elements.

The main reason of overweight is the imbalance in energy and calories utilized by the human body. In Case when calories expand than body requirement, they stored in the form of fat cells. Increase in energy-dense foods is also the main reason for being obese.

Obesity and overweight are more chronic then underweight.

Common health disorders that relates to obesity are cardiovascular disease, stroke, musculoskeletal disorders and different kinds of cancer.

Physical inactive people are at high risk of the getting obese. Moreover, physical activity, dietary patterns, societal and environmental changes are also responsible factors for overweight.

The severe and life-threatening conditions of obesity aggravate related health concerns. In case of high consumption of sugary and fatty foods, this risk increased.

In 2012, according to World Health Organization (WHO), stroke and heart disease were attributable to the obesity, and they were leading death causes. Raised level of BMI is a severe concern for individuals.

How to Treat Obesity?

It is not very difficult to treat obesity. It needs to adopt a healthy lifestyle and regular exercise. A daily walk is best to shed extra fat. Also eating a calorie controlled diet is necessary.

If a person is too much obese, he/she should join local weight loss groups or gym to control extra weight. Monitoring daily intake of food and soda drinks is essential.

Jogging, swimming and playing outdoors games are also important options. If a balanced diet is taken, there is no way that obesity would increase. It is a must to absorb the fat during digestion.
